hehehe no prob. I had fun playing with watercolour, even though I probably should have stuck with the standby pencil... ;)

You know, I'm very glad you directed me to this xmas cards tag! This painting is wonderful. You can feel the night there, the cold and the smell and noises of the sea.

Remus' pose and Sirius' shape are so well done!

And the colouring, though unorthodox for watercolour, works very very well here.

I'm wondering though, because watercolours can take different meanings in different languages. Are you using a paint that is closer than gouache than regular watercolour (aquarelle)? Because with regular watercolour, it's very difficult, even sometimes impossible, to paint in white on a dark background. And this would explain why your colouring looks more solid and less watery than usual watercolour paintings.

But anyway, and I don't say it just to please you, this colouring works splendidly!

Probably. It's marketed as watercolour, but it comes in tubes. Also, I definitely tend to use it more like acrylic than watercolour.

And, yeah, this one came out better than the others, but overall, I wasn't pleased with the effect.
