Off to the ticky boxes
Tuesday, 4 November 2008 06:40I don't think I could even concentrate on my appointments at the hospital until I've pushed that lever. Polls are open. So here goes.
ETA: Done. And Done. I had mapquested our new polling place (it used to be at the Hospicare right down the street-- such a nice place) so I wouldn't get lost. I left an extra hour in the morning to account for voting lines, but although the parking lot was full when I arrived the whole process took about ten minutes.
There were only three contested elections in my district-- including the presidential race-- and NO propositions (see that, Californians?). I checked three times that I had ticked the right names, swung the lever, and put my 'I voted' sticker on.
Now there's nothing left to do but wait.
Good luck everyone.
