It was freezing and bloody SNOWING when I woke up this morning, and it's supposed to be near 80F by Friday. WTF, weather?

Re senioritis: I just dropped my 8:00am class at about 7:00am, because I didn't really feel like going and didn't need the credit. It's only four lectures. This is about the laziest I've ever been.

In other news, my senior seminar went okay yesterday (no voice shaking, few nervous giggles) although I kinda bored myself in the middle of it. That's never a good sign...

In other, other news, Happy Supernatural Day!

I had two overnight shifts last Thursday and Friday while working full days Wed and Thurs. This amounted to roughly 48 hours straight, with small (2-3 hour) breaks for naps once or twice. I had been dreading it all week, but I really needed the money from the overnights so I agreed to take them on.

The cool thing? Was that the hospital was slow, the overnights were pretty relaxed, I set up a sleeping bag in my car to nap from 7am to 8am, I got out early on Friday afternoon for a few extra hours' sleep, and I had no major plans all weekend except brunch and wine tasting! All in all, it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd feared and was even pretty great in the end.

I love it when that happens.

In other news, I've been watching new TV! Dolls and Cylons, Bones and Kings. And I'm *not* afraid of spoilers )

In conclusion: there is lots of amazing and less-than-amazing TV to catch up on while waiting for new episodes of Supernatural, Merlin, and Being Human.

So, in the fruror of getting back from the trip and starting up clinics, I totally forgot to mention the most random brush with fame.

I was at LAX, a little drunk from my little bro's graduation BBQ, about twenty minutes before the red eye to Chicago. There's these very clearly punk guys waiting on the first class line with me (sometimes fathers who travel and rack up the frequent flyer miles is a really good thing). Anyway, they look the way a band is supposed to look -- even at a random American terminal in LAX at midnight -- so much so that you figure they're just a bunch of guys acting like they're in a band.

Except they have groupies (who were all riding coach).

Anyway, the guy sitting next to me asks them if they are musicians. One guy (South African accent) replies they are. I ask my seat buddy to ask them what band. It's Seether. Who I've at least heard of, even if I couldn't recall a tune.

So yeah, brush with fame. Silly story. I slept for six hours beside a post-grunge rock band. They probably saw me drool. :D
