So wrong on so many levels.

I think
ignipes said it best in Ain't No Sin to be Glad You're Alive:
"April showers bring May flowers, dude."
"This is an April blizzard."
"So it brings really fucking tough May flowers. May flowers with teeth." Dean paused, then added thoughtfully, "And blowtorches."
~
And I thought we wouldn't get any accumulations...
Believe it or not, there were daffodils under there.

Scary thing is, this was at seven in the morning, and about four more inches have fallen since.

Either the city's snow plows have been retired to storage for the summer, or they already blew their budget on salt, because by eight o'clock this morning none of the major commuter routes had been ploughed. (I say major, but in a town like this...) I was bottoming out on the snow piled between tire ruts. It was fun.
By the drive home this afternoon, it was less bad. They must've done the roads at least once, and I made it up the hill in my ice-skaing hippopotamus car on a wing and a prayer.
There's a really neat lecture tonight on raptors and birds of prey, but if the roads stay like this and the snow continues to fall, I do not think I shall be attending.

My heart goes out to everyone at Virginia. Some things are to... there are no words, man.

In happier news, I posted Birthday fic for
amchara last night. Jo-centric, about 1500 words, and given that I wrote most of it before Hunted aired, I'm rather pleased with the way it came out. :)
