First, the rec:
If you haven't read The Intolerable Acts by
ignipes (PG-13, gen). Stop reading right now and go do that.
It's fast and frightening, creepy and sweet--enough to make you laugh and cry and be afraid of the dark. It's Sammy, twelve and naked and handcuffed. It's Dean saving the day and scaring the hell out of me. It foreshadows what's to come and fills in a little bit of the past.
Just go. Read it.
Second, I got my DVDs today!! Whoot!
The gag reel is ten minutes of heaven. And that's all I have to say.
Jensen (on being asked to read for the part of Sam): "What about Dean? I like Dean. He's funny."
Also: Ten more reasons this show rocks.
1. Kripke on whether the show will be MoTW or seasonal-arc focused: "Lost is great... But I like plot. I like a story with a beginning a middle and an end."
2. Sammy's (Okay. Fine. Jared's) mom is an English teacher. :D
3. Jared on flashbacks to the boys growing up: "When little Sam and little Dean are filming, big Sam and big Dean are sleeping, so keep pushing for it!"
4. Six grown men tell Poop jokes.
5. Kripke's stage directions in the pilot: "Cue music, and you can take your anemic alternative crap and shove it up your ass." (speaking as someone who quite enjoys anemic alternative crap) I am SO loving him right now.
6. As
ignipes pointed out, they will always be "the boys" -- even (and maybe especially) to the writers and directors.
7. Jared and Jensen were trying VERY hard not to sleep through that discussion. I think they were pinching each other whenever the camera was on anyone else. Nutter kept laughing about *something*.
8. Jesen on the breakdown in Shadow: "Sometimes I can be a little protective of Dean." All I have to say is, Jensen, don't we all?
9. Kripke totally admits to making a mistake with the "two years" line in the pilot. That's right. Someone in hollywood ADMITTED to making a mistake. Again, so much respect for him right now.
10. Also, that his favorite moment in the season was the garbage disposal hand/scary monkey scene in Home.
