housekeeping thingies.

1. ALMOST DONE. I've been in total and complete denial that my California board examination is on Friday, that I have to fly out there tomorrow to take it, and that I'm as far behind as I am in studying for it. I've been in such denial that I forgot to tell my aunt (who I'm staying with) when I was coming. *facepalm*

Sometime during all this, I have to finish the presentation I'm making to what feels like the entire school next week and get it to my advisor by Friday. I thought I had more time than this...

This goes on record as one of the stupider weeks of my life.

2. On the other hand, New York was fantastic last weekend. I had such a great time meeting and karaoke-ing with all you gals!

3. Umm... what's with the defection to Dreamwidth? Is LJ no good anymore? Because, honestly, I don't think I handle either making a whole new journal or losing everyone I know through this one. *sadface*

yeah, I'm not a fan of the exclusivity-invite-only thing either. It seems... random? to me. I dunno. We'll see.

That's only until...April 30th, I think. Then you don't need an invite. Livejournal was like that when I first joined in early 2003.

Ahhh, that makes more sense. I think I'll wait until April 30th to join so i don't need to mess with invites or anything. :) Besides, maybe the mass-defection will be over by then anyway.

I don't think anyone is exclusively moving to Dreamwidth (except for a few communities), we're all hanging in to see what happens. But the invitational thing is only to get the beta testing finished, it will be open to all on April 30th.

4. HAHAA!! At first i had a comment to make abotu the show, then I forgot to take the tag off. Yessy, I've been catching up on Netflix. I'm on the first disc of S2, and holy shit it's been non-stop. I kinda want to read a bunch of summaries so I'm not all twisty trying to guess what happens next...

Good luck on your boards! And I bet your presentation will be super awesome, just take a couple deep breaths and then dive right in.

NYC and karaoke were awesome! I'm very happy I came and met everyone, it was a great time.

I...kinda want a dreamwidth. :-x I can't help it, it's all shiny and pretty and new! I don't know about leaving lj, though, I've been here for a really long time. Also, I remember back in the day needing invite codes to get an lj - I felt like it sorted out the rif-raf and bots and things.

Hehhe, thanky! i'm surprisingly less worried about the public speaking than the test. I guess I've come to accept the fact that my hands and voice will always shake in front of an auditorium full of people *g*

The DW account giveaways really aren't meant to be exclusive--they have to dole out accounts slowly to test the server capacity. LJ started out the same way. But right now an invite code has that shiny air of high demand, low availability. *g*

I need to get started writing the Sammy smut!
