I think we've shared some rough times w/ one another, and come through them unscathed -- and probably understanding one another better for it -- and honestly, you're one of the people I can count on one hand whom I'd say, "This person is a true friend. I love her and I trust her." about.

I really want to be a professor at a small liberal arts college teaching opera history and directing and maybe some theatre classes or music history/music and gender classes. And be directing the school operas. (and see this is where things become harder because really I need to be a a larger school to be directing operas). Then in the summer, I would run with my friend a small opera house that puts on 3 or 4 operas a summer. We would want mostly recently graduated grad students who were beginning to make a name for themselves and work up some rep. And we would give some tutorials etc as well.

Also, I want to be raising a family at some point in there too.

And maybe begin writing scholarly articles on fandom with emphasis on slash and music within the larger world of fandom. *facepalm*

6. You know, it is strange to think of myself as a mother, although not, for some reason, to think of her as my daughter, but not really dramatically weirder than just being (theoretically) a responsible adult and all that. I still kind of think of myself as being about 19 and I've never quite gotten over the shock of having to, like, pay bills and stuff. *g* When I was a little girl I had this vague notion, as I think most children do, that adults just kind of automatically knew what to do in any given situation and I still sometimes feel like I must have been home sick the day they handed out the manual.

Aha- well, since the massive story of DOOM (as I've been calling it in my head this last while) is done and posted, (\o/) I'm thinking I'll be tackling shorter projects in the next little while. *g* Not that the other story wasn't fun to write, but longer stories are a lot of work.

Currently I'm debating between starting a teen!Winchesters selkie fic, or a immediately pre-series Dean solo-hunting story in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. (Which fits the canon time-line).

Possibly also a Sam/Jess shower!porn ficlet *cough* and a Torchwood strip poker ficlet. ;)
