Supernatural Rec and Question

First, are you reading Lessons Learned by
lyra_wing? If not, get your bum over there and get on it, people!
This is a tight and highly addictive WIP that she's updating every day, for those of you who can't take the suspense *coughisitSeptemberyet?*
It's set six years in the future, the story of two boys who need the brothers' help. She brings back some of my favorite characters from season one and explores the impact that Sam and Dean might have had on their lives. It's a set-up for a giant angst-a-thon but instead, Sam and Dean are genuinely happy, and that? That is how I like my Winchesters. It's an engaging story--I have no idea where, exactly, the plot is going to take us, funny, tight dialogue, and enough slashy goodness to satisfy anyone's lusts.
"Think of it more like those old kung-fu dudes in the movies," says Dean.
Sam laughs a little. "You just need the long white beard. And subtitles."
"Come on. It's just like that. These young students seeking a wise master to teach them the secret ways to kick ass."
Really? This story has it all. Go. Read it. Now.

Second, a little bird said that there are spoilers floating around. That little bird is going to eat them, before I can read any. But seriously, I get the feeling that in my cushy little corner of fandom, most people are trying to remain spoiler-free.

ETA:
Everyone who answers and replies and is unspoiled, gets to be part of the club, with official positions and everything. :D
(Friday afternoon loopiness has officially hit me hard.)

2006-07-14 17:25 (UTC)Also, the reactions to the spoilers are... funny. Just thinking back to the way people reacted to last season's episodes -- everyone was utterly convinced that "Faith" (for example -- that's the one I remember best) would be the worst thing ever. The spoiler reactions are almost always so far off from the episode reactions, it's not really worth the trouble of worrying. :)

2006-07-14 18:29 (UTC)I know nothing about Supernatural. I just read here and there some posts from my flist, but actually I don't even know what the plot is about. *pouts again*

2006-07-15 09:25 (UTC)My problem is I have a couple of friends with no will power, and I never like knowing less than them *esp since I'm the one that introduced them to the fandom - grrr) but I will stay strong... even if going to university without a TV next year means I'm probably not going to see season 2 until I buy the DVDs *mope*.
But no - no spoilers for me.

2006-07-17 03:52 (UTC)And not have a TV at university? Oh, never you fear; there are other ways to get your weekly fix of prettyboy. (TV tuner in your computer, public lounges always have a set, and that's what friends with TVs are for.) I'm completely confident you'll find a way.
