I go home tonight, get there sometime tomorrow afternoon, see my dog and my cats and my bed for the first time in months

I've always loved travel and gone on trips longer than this several times, to farther destinations, but i have never never in my life felt so homesick as I did this time. It might have been because I left Henry behind, because I had no friends or company after office hours most places. I don't mind California, per se (except the traffic. Which sucks rotten eggs), but I am really really looking forward to a warm summer rain -- a phenomenon I don't think even exists here.

In the meanwhile, my brother graduates from Occidental (where Barack spent two years, incidentally) this weekend. I will miss the official ceremony, but I've been here since Thursday celebrating with him. It's been a long road and he's done so well; we're really proud.

He took us to a Korean karaoke... place (it was private rooms, not really a bar) last night. it was actually a blast. Although I was sceptical at first, everyone got rocking by the end. All of this is why I was late to see the SPN finale, but now that I have (3-4 times),

I have one real thought, and maybe a couple of other things.

~

My first reaction to the end was: How are they going to get dean back into his pretty pretty body? followed closely by: OMG, I hope Jensen is signed on for the rest of the series.

I mean, his body is dead, yeah? Like, the hellhounds did their jobs well.

AndI kind of love that what happens next isn't inevitable, that I'm suspicious but not sure where the Krip is going with this. I think next season is going to be fun.

~

I was struck by some of the really different (and some not-so-different) filming techniques they used. Right at the beginning, it's like they did Dean's close ups with a wide-angle lens, which gave the whole conversation with Sam such a surreal tone, as though his hellhound dream was the more real of the two realities.

Outside, like in the end of Children...Dead Things, they made the boys' eyes SO GREEN, it actually hurt to look at them.

I loved the stubble, and the inisinuation that Dean hasn't had time to keep up with repairs on his baby, even before he's gone.

~

I really liked hell, and was so glad they didn't go with the standard fire and brimstone. This isolation and green and chains was way creepier and, yeah, worked for me.

~

Wee!Lilith was a *wee* bit over the top, trite, and the only really disappointing part of the finale for me.

~

Well, off to get my hair cut. Whoo!

YAY, home and Henry and summer rain!

And I know, Dean's eyes were practically glowing green in the whole first half of the episode.

And then, my eyes were like this ---> 0_o when they showed the Impala with a busted tail light. If there was ever any better symbol of Dean's screwed up mental state, I don't know what it would be!

Haircut! Enjoy the pampering. For me there is nothing better than lying back and having someone wash your hair.... Scalp massage, mmmmm.

Just to oblidge, it POURED for the entire drive from Philly to Ithaca. :) I didn't really mind.

And OMg, greed to DIE for. And yes! poor Impala. :(

It was a lovely cut. Now I've gone back to not-brushing, but such is life.

Almost back home, yay! It's nice to travel but getting home after being away for a long time is one of the best feelings ever.

Wasn't the finale intense? I have no idea where they're going to take it next year- other than they're obviously going to get Dean out of Hell!

But yes, oh the boys were pretty this episode! *sigh* Such pretty green eyes- desperation looks good on them, heh.

OMg, this was the most homesick I've ever been EVER when travelling. SO good to be back.

I know, right? There has to be a way to bring back his pretty face, but i'm not so sure how (unless Sam unleashes his mighty mind powers) they're gonna do it.
