Okie, sorry for the whininess in the last post. Putting this together made me feel a lot better about the last few weeks.
Without further ado:
So, this is the place I was exiled to when landlord kicked us out of our home. I forgot to take the before shot until after I'd pulled the godawful wallpaper "chair rail" (lurid pink flower border) from halfway up the wall. Those are the bits of paper litering the floor.

That horribly space-guzzling wooden chest in the corner? Was anchored to the wall and floor with no less than SEVENTEEN three-inch wood screws. It was a nightmare to remove.

The old "molding"

And... AFTER

There's the old chest (I was using it as a stepstool and saw table during the process

Henry got settled in once I finally moved my furniture upstairs.

However badly renovated the house has been, the back yard makes up for it. That's the pen my dad and I built last weekend. View from the landing outside my back door.

And the screened-in porch was the perfect spot for my hammock from Ecuador. Gonna get a LOT of studying done here *g*

This was the second one born, the little colt. He's a total pistol called Wyatt.

This is the first filly, who got off to a bit of a rough start, but had lots of fight in her. We caller her "Pearl" after will Ferrel's landlord

Hope you all have a nice weekend! I'm off to write my VERY late summerlove story.

2007-08-08 18:25 (UTC)Great work on the room and the pen, m'dear. I can only imagine it was a RIDICULOUS amount of work. I'm tired sitting here on the couch looking at it!
