The title refers to "a water management system used to provide a reliable supply of water to human settlements or for irrigation in hot, arid and semi-arid climates. The technology is known to have developed in ancient Persia, and then spread to other cultures, especially along the Silk Road as far east as China as well as by Arabic cultures as far west as Morocco and Spain." The story is so much more.
Yeah, she did it again. It's everything a Supernatural story should be; frightening and endearing, painful and cathartic.
It's a coda to Skin that touches on so many of the little things that happened in that episode; Dean's loss of his identity, Sam's intuition, a history of hunting in the sewers. Speaking of sewers, she does terrifying and gross like no one else in the fandom. And the scenes with Dean as a kid? are so spot on without being sappy or idealized that they just break your heart.
