Skiving off

krisomniacI got out of lab at 2:30 today (what a treat) and decided that, since I will be spending the entirety of the next two days-- fourteen hours each-- at school/work/hosting lectures/lecturers, I would skip my evening EVERYTHING, and putz around the house.
Cleaned a little. Tended my seedlings (I'm growing less from seed this year, just alpine strawberries, some colored cherry tomatoes, and more obscure varieties of basil). Did laundry. Picked up dog food. And opened a bottle of wine.
It was grand.

I got to run yesterday for the first time in several weeks! It was treadmill only, fifteen minutes only, and I wasn't allowed over six mph. But it was great! And my knee's only a little more stiff today. So I take that as a good sign.
I took today off (see above), but might try a little more tomorrow. It wasn't easy listening to my running mix and not turning the speed up for my power songs... (Born to Run-- because I know you were dying to know that).

I started downloading the first few eps of this season of Dr. Who (all Kali's fault) and realized I hadn't seen the finale of the last one! *blush* For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what had happened to Rose.
Anyway, finally saw it and everything makes a lot more sense.
The Doctor's freckles are ALMOST as adorable as Dean's. Just saying.

It's a fic exchange with some fantacular (is SO a word) prompt ideas. Also, the mods have given you free reign to explain what you do and don't want from it-- from people who hate green, leafy vegetable!fic to those who only want to write biblical crossovers. Seriously. I have no idea how they're going to match people up, but I'm fairly sure it's going to be a grand time.
so if you've never written for Supernatural before (yes, I am looking at YOU), are a seasoned veteran (that would be you), or know the show inside and out but rarely write (you know who i'm talking about now)-- GET TO IT!
